Profanity v1.0 Rejected

Profanity was sent to Apple for review 9 days ago — we rated it 17+.

Today we got this form Apple:

Dear App Go Lucky,

Thank you for submitting Profanity to the App Store. We’ve reviewed Profanity and determined that we cannot post this version of your iPhone application to the App Store because it contains objectionable content and is in violation of Section 3.3.12 from the iPhone SDK Agreement which states:

“Applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.), or other content or materials that in Apple’s reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users.”

Examples of the objectionable material are attached.

If you believe that you can make the necessary changes so that Profanity does not violate the iPhone SDK Agreement, we encourage you to do so and resubmit it for review.

On Saturday 20th June 2009 Profanity was uploaded to Apple for review.

We expect it to be formally rejected some time in the next two weeks. While we wait you can read more about Profanity and our plans for it.
